The Jerusalem Bible has always been characterized by its desire to offer its readers a translation that faithfully reflects the meaning of the original texts and to incorporate, in its introductions and notes, the contributions of contemporary studies in the linguistic, theological, historical, and archaeological fields. From this perspective, it continues to maintain its distinct identity as a study Bible. We now present the fifth Spanish edition of this New Jerusalem Bible, which was revised in 2018, following the previous editions of 1967, 1975, 1998, and 2009.
